Fundraising & Volunteerism

Fundraising is a key component of the service provided by Kerry Parents & Friends
Association. While we are funded by the HSE to provide services to people in Kerry, there are many other costs that occur in the provision of those services, such as, responding to an emergency situation or providing assistance to a person in need; transport upkeep, diesel and service costs; maintenance of buildings and residential houses; food and household costs; equipment and cleaning services and so on. We rely on the generosity of the people of Kerry and beyond to help us to maintain a high quality service to the people we support.

Volunteers are undoubtedly the backbone of Kerry Parents & Friends Association and work hard behind the scenes in all types of roles, in a friendship / helper capacity or in fundraising. Local Branches have a fundraising role with initiatives such as Monster Bingo, Pantomime, Charity Walks, Pre Cheltenham Night, Indoor Market etc. These Branches always welcome new members and if you would like to be involved, please fill the enquiry form here or email

How can Volunteers help?

Volunteers help in other ways too, through offering services for garden maintenance, painting, or helping out in their local Centre. This is coordinated by each Centre Manager so that valuable help is wisely utilised for the benefit of everyone. Please find your local Centre to make an enquiry here or email

You can also help by donating what you can to KPFA. Use the donate button here, send it to your local Centre or post your donation to Kerry Parents & Friends Association, The Old Monastery, Port Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry V93 WK68. Each donation will be receipted and acknowledged and will be used for any of the purposes described above.

Thank You to everyone that helps KPFA in any way!
