Tearmann Lodge, opened since 2012, is a single storey purpose built bungalow situated in Rathmore village. It comprises of ten single bedrooms, all ensuite and furnished with the individual’s needs, preferences and personalities in mind. Tearmann Lodge provides a day service programme from Monday to Friday and people we support from the local community access this service, while some of our residents avail of a day service in the Old Monastery in Killarney, to stay in touch with their friends. Tearmann Lodge was built as a step down facility for those requiring a slower pace of life. 9 people live there and one bedroom is available for respite as required.
Opened since 1984, this centre is the second house opened by Kerry Parents & Friends Association, donated by the O’Leary Family, Church Place, Rathmore. It is a two storey building comprising five single bedrooms and four people are living very happily there. Fr. Corridan Centre residents are actively involved within the local community, utilising all services in Rathmore and enjoy inviting their neighbours and friends into their home. Two residents are supported in local employment in Rathmore.
Marian House is a two story building located in Shinnagh, Rathmore. Previously opened in 1986 and re furbished and re-opened in 2017. It comprises three single bedrooms and is currently occupied by one person. The gentleman living in Marian House is a regular fixture within the community with close links with the community council, Rathmore hall, the local men’s shed and the various other services in the area and in Killarney.
